| Well it's the 25th of October and that means
we leave early in the morning to head down for the Ipswich Show. We've
been doing this show ever since it started and I'm pleased to say it has
gotten bigger and better each year. From what I've been reading of late,
this year will be the best yet. |
 |
I haven't had much of a chance to get too much
done on the layout over the last few weeks. In fact, the only thing
I've had a chance to do is ballast a bit more of Summiton Yard.
At this point I would like to make it known that I STILL HATE BALLASTING! |
|
| Jade and I have been playing around with the Loksound
Programmer, to get the sound of our locos right. After much confusion,
swearing, crying and dribbling, we were left… Well… Still confused,
swearing, crying and dribbling. Eventually we managed to work this
little blue box of torture out to a reasonable extent and now have
locos that sound a bit more like they should. |

Apart from this, it has been full steam ahead
getting new kits out on the market.
We finally released the VAOW woodchip wagon after
talking about it for 6 months.

|
The next kit (to be released at the show) is
the VBO ballast hopper. I've really been looking forward to this
one as I will require around 20 of these for my own roster.

So whilst I managed to decal two wagons last
night, I decided to weather one this morning. To be honest I'm
pretty happy with the results… So that's one down and only 19
to go.

Apart from this, I intend to try and get two more locomotive
kits on the market this year and I am happy to say that great progress
is being made on both thus far.
Well only a short chapter this time as I am taking a break from packing
up for the show. Hopefully we will have a great show and get to catch
up with a few of you there.
We shall see how we go.
