So here we are, doing the count down to the new year.
That special time of year when we can all make resolute to do none of
the things we did the previous year… Despite the fact that we will have
done all of these by the 2nd of January.
After Jade decided that she was going to quit smoking for her resolution,
I thought it was only fair that I should make some sort of resolution
of similar importance… So after much deliberation, I have made my resolution
to stop making resolutions.

 |
My brother Craig and his wife Sinita joined us
for New Years… If you have followed our visitants from the last
chapter then you’ll note that the Wuiske Asylum is becoming the
do drop in centre. Maybe we should start handing out jelly beans
and bibles? |
|
| Whilst Jade and Sinita spend their time
upstairs deeply engrossed in whatever it is that females do (plotting
the destruction of the male population more than like), Craig and I retired
to the layout room. |
| Now it is worth mentioning that Craig is NOT
a train person, he IS a Star Wars person. Personally, I don’t see
what there is to be fussed about with Star Wars, I still remember
Ronald Reagan starting that program off and haven’t heard much about
it since. But maybe it’s just me. |
 |
|
 |
So after having seen the layout for the first
time in around twelve months, Craig seemed to be very impressed.
He then started impressing me with the idea that he wanted to run
some trains. So we ran trains and he managed to take enough photos
to ensure a world shortage of Fuji film. |
|
| It was at this point that Craig advised
me his camera is in fact digital. So with Mr Fuji breathing a sigh of
relief, we got back to playing trains. |
| With me manning the dispatch panel, and Craig
running a couple of trains. This lasted until the girls decided
that we had had enough fun to last us for the next few months. We
then where forced to endure and participate in a conversation about
cross stitch. Cross Stitch??? I didn’t even realize it was upset
to begin with. |
 |
|
| So eventually we made our escape again and
got back to the layout. |
 |
Only to end up side tracking ourselves with conversations
regarding the benefits of having a useless two seater sports car
as opposed to a useless, noisy bike. Now as I am writing my version
of History here, it is fair to say that we agreed that a collection
of motorcycles is ALWAYS better than a Nissan 300ZX thing. |
|
| It is possible that next chapter, we may get a
few things actually done on the layout, rather than just forcing
you to read the ramblings of a deranged escapee named Wuiske. At
this point, Jade, Connie and I would like to wish you all a very
Happy New Year and thank you for your support throughout the last
year. |
 |
|
|
I would also like to thank everyone for their feedback
regarding my little corner and say “keep it coming”. I really enjoy
reading your comments when they are sent. So until next time…
We shall see how we go.
