So the layout is starting to really take shape now
and that's only just past the two year mark.
|
 |
At present we are getting ready for the Toowoomba
Show. Whilst this may not be the biggest or most profitable show
on our list, it is by far the most enjoyable. Each year we have
attended this show we find that the atmosphere gets better and better.
|
|
| The boys from the Darling Downs Model Railway
Club should be commended for their efforts. Now having said that,
it is (I think anyway) reasonable to expect to see some of you turn
up and say "g'day" at this year's Toowoomba Show. |
 |
|
| In the mean time, I have been fairly busy
keeping you all supplied with your models… So there has not been too many
noticeable things done to the layout. We have a few more trees, I have
a few more bruises from asking for more trees, you get the idea of how
things work in the Wuiske Asylum. |
 |
The overhead bridge is still a safety hazard as
it leads to nowhere. I have a nearly complete 2100 (2123F to be
exact) being test run on the layout as we speak and the demo model
for our DH kit is starting to get some colour added to it. |
|
| Apart from that, the cats are still bonkers,
the dog is getting more crazy by the minute and Jade… um… I can't really
say, because I fear death. |
I have managed to get a few more wagons on the
layout in the last month. Our latest additions are another QLX (four
down, twenty to go), two WHO open wagons (I just wanted to play
with the weathering powders)and two more VBO ballast hoppers (I
love these things).

 |
So in other words all is quiet on the western
front, we have a few new kits in the works and everybody is asleep
at the helm… well until Friday when we have to set up for the show
anyway. If you can get along and say G'day then please do. If not,
we expect a note of explanation. |
|
|
We shall see how we go.
