Chapter 38 - 23/04/2009
Well, after having taken a breather from the old Adam’s Corner for a while I thought it was about time to put fingers to keyboard and let you all know what has been happening in the Wuiske Asylum.

We have had a small army of visitors over the last couple of months. Firstly we had a visit from a young bloke called James Ingham. This guy whilst only new in the hobby has achieved a lot. Some of the kits I have seen him assemble have come up better than those of more experienced modelers.

So with the Ingham family having a poke around the layout room it was good (as always) to get other peoples perspective on things.
During my little break I have also begun work on the Shopping Centre to act as a backdrop building behind Summiton Yard. The first task was to build the Sign. This was made using Plastruct Angle section as well as no small amount of swearing. Over all I am pretty happy with the results and it blends in fairly well on the layout.

Now comes the hard part… Building the actual Shopping Centre itself. As I type away on this I am getting things ready for the Brisbane Miniature Train Show to be held over the Labor Day Weekend. This is the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of May so we hope to see a lot of you there.

We will of course be having a series of show specials. As well as this we will be releasing three brand new kits… One Building, One Loco and One new Cattle Wagon. I will hopefully get a chance to announce them just prior to the show.
We shall see how we go...
