Now where were we? Aaaaah yes more about our visitors.
Well prior to Dallas and Andrew arriving from up north, we had my
Grandmother and Grandfather arrive for a few days. Now it is worth
mentioning that although my grandfather has known me for 30 years
(go figure hey) he was not quite aware of the extend of our hobby/business. |

| So having said that, after entering the
layout room it took a couple of days for him to pick his jaw up off the
ground at the size of what we have undertaken. |
|
And of course Jade managed to con My grandmother,
grandfather and myself into a lengthy game of Trivial Pursuit.
It is worth mentioning that we are all quite good at the original
version, so of course we played the "Genus VI" edition. The result
was (of course) at least three of us yelling at inanimate cards
for lengthy periods of time

| and discovering that a geography related
question can in fact have an answer that is "Kylie Minogue"
(funnily enough, I always thought her curves made a particularly nice
peninsula... for some reason it escapes me why a comment like that deserves
a smack around the head from my darling wife). |

First thing the next morning my grandfather
was talking about camp ovens so I thought I would drop around to
Doug Henning's place (Yes the same Doug as on the Doug's Country
Butchery kit). As well as being a former butcher Doug does a lot
of traditional cook ups for tour groups as well as a bit of singing….
Even without beer! |

So in the end I was sent to get Jade and my Grandmother
so we could have a BBQ dinner with the Henning Family. At this
point my grandfather decided that the little bike Wade (Doug's
son) and I were playing around on looked like fun. So with a skin
full and a half he bravely tackled the little red beast… Much
to my grandmother's annoyance.

Aside from our constant stream of
visitors, I have been starting to play with fitting Fiber Optic
lighting to my loco fleet. This is a challenge to do and will result
in lots of swearing… None of which (so Jade tells me anyway) can
I repeat here. The end result though is well worth the effort, the
swearing and the admonitions from Jade. |

I will with any luck go through the fitting process
in the next Adam's Corner…
But as always, We shall see how we go...
