Chapter 42- 1/08/2009
OK so here we are on chapter 42 of my little rambling adventure through the world according to Adam. Amazingly enough those lovely chaps in the white coats have yet to arrive (particularly surprising when I look over the previous 41 bits of "evidence").

So with a small truck load of Valium, several car loads of anti depressants and a 17 kilo bag of Catnip (honestly it is getting harder and harder to settle Jade down) lets go over the latest happenings on Planet Jandowae.
It would appear that the federal gumbyment has repealed its law on members of the Wuiske Clan from reproducing (don't blame me, I voted Liberal) and Jade is going to be bringing a "little bundle of joy" into the world…. That's right she is buying me a whole swag of model kits!

As well as this she appears to be pregnant. So with all the "Dooms Dayers" hastily changing their predictions for the end of the world from 21/12/2012 to the 14th of January 2010 (weather permitting of course) we should be expecting our first child!

As a result of this little bit of information, I have spent the last little while trying desperately to avoid the never ending conversations regarding baby names, rotating the house to face East and furniture that should bankrupt a small country to provide seventeen star accommodation for the Wuiske Curtain Climber until it has reached the grand old age of 0.5 years.

As a result of trying to avoid these enthralling conversations, I have managed to get a reasonable amount of older projects cleared from my work bench. In fact I am so overjoyed at Jade's latest method of ensuring my collection of modern currency is displayed in all the finest cash registers on the Darling Downs that I have done some calculations...

Based on the number of "projects" I have managed to clear from the bench with the threat of one child, it is possible that after child 146 I should be able to complete that second coal train I have been dreaming of.

In any case all of this aside, I am presently searching high and low for people to blame for not informing me of the instant insanity switch that seems to get flicked as soon as a member of the female population mentions the words "I'm Pregnant" (followed obviously by continued screams and tears of joy and then an in depth study of a semi wet stick with a stripe on it!). So to the male population of the world, WHY did no one tell me that there are in existence baby names books that comprise over 500 pages? WHY did no one tell me about the amazing reactions that are approaching nuclear levels when previously quiet and unassuming family members discover said names? WHY am I supposed to care about losing a guest bedroom that I never wanted in the first place? And finally WHY can no one tell me where I left the receipt as well as what the return policies are???

So with all of the excitement of the "insanity switch" being locked in the turbo position I thought it was about time to start being a caring and attentive husband and fulfill my husbandly duties….
That being said, I am proud to say that over the last fortnight I have managed to clock up over 3,000klms on the bike, paint over 60 feet of track on the layout and complete a couple more wagons to add to the fleet.

Next I think I'll take Connie Dogs for a walk, I hear Darwin is lovely this time of year.
Getting back into the real world for a second…. And back again (hope you enjoyed that), Jade has suggested that we run what should go down in history as the worlds most insane competition…

A lucky online customer who can guess the Sex, Species, closest Tare Weight and Length over Buffers of our first RTS (Ready To Scream) miniature will win a prize… Depending on the level of screaming the prize may actually bare a striking similarity to the miniature in question but as always we shall see how we go on that front.

Guesses can be entered in the "Other Information" field of the online ordering page and is open from now until the release date (anticipated mid Jan 2010).

On a totally different note, we will be releasing a lot of new kits over the next little while. We have the first of our Lander Car kits being released. These have been designed to suit the modern image modelers and have complete underframe and end details as applied to the coaches today. We will also be re-releasing our Sunshine Express coaches. First to be released will be the BC baggage car and the MV mail van. We will also be releasing another container wagon (pewter and skeletal of course) and there is a loco or two just around the corner as well.
Perhaps next chapter I can get away from the latest installments of insanity in the Wuiske household and actually impart some information.

We shall see how we go.
