Australian Model Railway Convention

nation's premier rail museum, The Workshops Rail Museum in Ipswich,
Queensland.
The Australian Model Railway Convention will include sessions,
workshops and speakers to engage model railway enthusiasts of

full advantage of the host venue's displays and materials.

The NMRA held their inaugral Model Train Show in April 2010.
The National Model Railroad Association (NMRA) is an international
organisation committed to developing and promoting all aspects of
model railroading. In order to better serve its members the organisation
is divided into a number of regions, and the regions into Divisions.
Queensland modellers are served by Division 1 of the Australasian
Region (AR).

Modelling the Railways of Queensland Convention
Saturday (TBA) August 2012 |
The Convention is held every two years in Brisbane and brings
together modellers and railfans with an interest in Queensland's
railways and tramlines. Attendees come from every state in Australia
and occasionally from overseas. Essentially a one-day (Saturday)
convention, events include clinics and other presentations, modelling
demonstrations, layouts, trade stands and a group dinner. A visit
to a local rail heritage attraction and/or local model railways
typically occurs on the Sunday.

MAUDSLEY HOUSE" at Baillie Henderson Hospital, Toowoomba, Qld.
Usual Opening Times:
The clubhouse is open on Wednesday Nights from 7:30pm and Saturday
afternoons from 2:30pm.

Usual Opening Times:
Every Wednesday morning from 10:30am onwards a daytime running session/working
bee is held. Before meetings on the second Saturday of each month
from 11:00am and on the fourth Saturday of each month a weekend
running session also occurs from 11:00am. From time to time members
gather by themselves or with their friends to run a train, read
a book, or conduct modelling activities in the clubrooms.
